Landaluce arrived at the 2026 Miami Open ranked No. 151 and left it as the story of the tournament. Coming through qualifying, he beat Marcos Giron, Luciano Darderi, Karen Khachanov and — after saving a match point — Sebastian Korda, 2-6, 7-6(6), 6-4, to become the first player born in 2006 or later to reach a Masters 1000 quarter-final, where Jiri Lehecka finally stopped him. The run launched him toward a top-100 debut on 20 April, at age 20.
