Nine years separate Piros's junior Grand Slam title from the season that finally put the top 100 back in reach. After winning the Australian Open boys' event in 2017, the Hungarian spent the better part of a decade grinding on the Challenger circuit, peaking at No. 106 in March 2024 before sliding back to No. 175 by June 2026. Then the clay run began: titles in Lugano and Madrid, followed by back-to-back winning weeks in Romania — Brașov, then Iași, where he beat fourth seed Titouan Droguet 6-1, 7-6(2) for his eleventh career Challenger trophy and fourth of the season.
